Term: Definition:
*Bet* The gambler's wager.

*Bank Roll* A total sum of money a gambler is willing to risk on a given visit to a online casino.

*Bet the limit* Wagering the maximum amount a gambler is allowed to risk in any games.

*Come-out* The first roll of the dice in craps that establishe's the point.

*Break/Bust* When the dealer or gambler's hand exceeds a total value of "21".

*Break/Bust Card* The card received which causes the dealer or gambler to exceed "21".

*Burn Card* The top-card of the deck, which is placed face down in the discard pile after the shuffle & cut.

*BlackJack* ("21") A two card total of "21" consisting of an ace and a 10 value card.

*Crapping-out* In craps, having a bet on the pass line & losing by rolling a 12,3 or 2 on the come out.

*Dealer* Employee of the casino who deals the games.

*Double Down* Placing an additional wager-up to the amount of the original on the first two-cards of the hand (the gambler is only allowed one card).

*Face cards* In a deck of cards, queen, king or any jack.

*Four of a Kind* In Poker - four card's of the same denomination.

*Full House* In Poker - a set of three card's of the same denomination, plus a set of two-cards of the same denomination.

*House Rules* Set of rules established by the online or land based casino for the gambler's and dealer's to follow.

*Hard Hand* Any hand without an ace ("A"), or a hand where all aces are is counted as one.

*Hit* To receive an additional card at the gambler's request.

*Hole Card* The dealers unexposed down card's.

*Gambling* The voluntary risking of a sum of money on the outcome of a games, or other event.

*Insurance* The gambler bets that the dealer has a black jack when the dealers up card is an ace ("A").

*Jacks Or Better* In Poker - a pair that pay's off only if the card's in the pair are Kings ("K"), Jacks ("J"), Queens ("Q") or Aces ("A"). Lower pairs do not pay off.

*Jackpot* =) The biggest payoff issued by the slots or other games...

*Money Management* Determining the minimum bet one can afford to makes based on the bankroll available.

*Shoe* The box from which the card's are dealt.

*Playing Strategy* A self imposed set of rules designed to give the gambler the best odds for defeating the dealer.

*Push* When the dealer & gambler tie (no money is won or lost).

*Royal Flush* In Poker - five consecutive denomination card's of the same suit, ending with an ace & starting from 10.

*Natural* Black jack: A two card total of "21" consisting of an ace ("A") and a 10 value card.
Baccarat: A two card total of 9 or 8.
Craps: Gambler rolls a 11, or 7.

*Soft Hand* A hand containing an ace ("A"), where the ace is counted as 11 (total must be 21 or less).

*Soft Double Down* Doubling down, when one of the two card's is an ace.

*Split* Option to play each of two like card's as a separate hand (a separate bet equal to the original wager must be made).

*Stand* The decision to not receive another card's.

*Straight Flush* In Poker - five consecutive denomination card's of the same suit.

*Straight* In Poker - five consecutive denomination card's of different suit.

*Standing Card* Term used when the dealer has a 7, or greater showing.

*Two Pairs* In Poker - two set's of pair's of the same card denomination.
*Three of a Kind* In Poker - three card's of the same denomination.

*Standing Hand* Hand requiring the dealer to stand...
